In August020 Archives 40 Chinese game publishers obtained a total revenue of $2.07 billion, accounting for 39.3% of the global top 100 mobile game publishers, as reported by the analyst firm SensorTower. The leading three companies are Tencent Games, NetEase Games, and HoYoverse. Nuverse, ByteDance’s gaming arm, achieved sixth place for the first time, due to the favorable performance of its new mobile game Crystal of Atlanta. MapleStory: The Legends of Maple was launched in China on August 17, becoming the only new game among the top ten mobile games in terms of China’s iOS App Store revenue in August. The Legends of Maple is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game jointly published by South Korean developer Nexon and Chinese publisher Tencent Games. [SensorTower, in Chinese]
